
Caprese Milano
Ingredients for 6 servings
FITAKI Original
400 g Italian white bread (ciabatta ) 6 big slices
600 g Tomatoes
125 g Anchovy fillet in olive oil
4 tablespoons Olive oil
2 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar
2 cloves Garlic
Salt, freshly ground pepper to taste
2 bunches Fresh green basil
Preparation
- Drizzle the olive oil over the slices of white bread and toast them until they are light brown in an oven preheated to 200°С.
- Rinse the tomatoes and cut them into slices about 1 cm thick. Cut the FITAKI cheese into rectangular slices.
- Rub the toasted bread with the garlic.
- Arrange the tomatoes and the cheese on the bread and then distribute the anchovies evenly over them.
- In a separate bowl, mix the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper and lightly drizzle this sauce over the tomatoes and cheese. Rinse the basil, cut off the leaves and use them as a garnish.
Instead of an anchovy fillet in olive oil, you may use grilled prawns with garlic. Instead of Italian white bread, you may use any bread that suits your taste.
